Community Supported Agriculture is…
… a partnership between farmers and consumers in which the responsibilities, risks and rewards of farming are shared. It is a model of farming which addresses concerns about the lack of transparency, sustainability and resilience of our food system, and is one of the most radical ways that we can re-take control and ownership of our food system. It aims to reconnect people with how and where their food is grown. More info at https://communitysupportedagriculture.org.uk/What we offer…
- Veg shares (weekly veg boxes) through a membership scheme
- Volunteering opportunities for all (Fridays 10am-4pm)
- Educational visits for schools and groups
- Community – events and regular donations to the WS Food Cupboard
- A stall at the seasonal produce market at Horner Farm, and wholesale to a few local businesses
We believe…
that fresh, nutritious, local food should be available to everyone that food production should not be at the expense of the planet or local environment in building a resilient local community to face the climate crisisVeg Shares: How does it work?
We sell most of our lovely produce as weekly veg shares through a membership scheme which is paid for by a monthly subscription.
Veg shares are simply veg boxes but we call them veg shares as they are a share of our weekly harvest, with the contents varying through the seasons.
There are three share sizes available, and we have several collection points you can collect from. All the information you need can be found in our FAQs (link to page), and you can sign up here.
